We see guitar setup is the single most important expense that will help your playing and sound. A guitar/bass can work for you or against you  it is all in the setup.

A professional guitar setup brings the guitar to it’s optimum playability and sound. In a full guitar setup one would dress the frets( fret levelling ) as this is the most crucial part of a full guitar/bass setup.

Important points after a fret is levelled and crowned (made round after the levelling) are,

• The guitar intonation will be at it’s most accurate.
• The string will vibrate at its freest.
• The guitar action will improve regardless of the gauge of the strings.
• Any guitar will benefit from a full professional guitar setup regardless of its price or level of playing.

When it comes to setting up a guitar we need to remember that the guitar is a tool and it can be set to play and sound  better.
